Role Overview: As the Regional Engineer Manager at Upfix, you will play a critical role in overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of our appliance repair services across the Southern Region. You will lead a team of Senior Appliance Engineers & Appliance Engineers, ensuring they provide top-notch repair services, manage parts and stock inventory, and adhere to the highest standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of Senior Appliance Engineers & Engineers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the engineering team.
2. Service Quality and Efficiency:
- Ensure the timely and efficient completion of appliance repairs by the engineering team, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Monitor repair quality and implement continuous improvement measures to enhance service delivery.
3. Parts and Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate and organised records of parts inventory.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure adequate stock levels, minimising delays in repair services.
4. Health and Safety Compliance:
- Uphold and enforce strict health and safety standards within the engineering team.
- Conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement preventive measures.
5. Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to engineers in diagnosing complex appliance issues.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, repair techniques, and technologies.
6. Customer Satisfaction:
- Monitor customer feedback and take corrective actions to address any service-related issues promptly.
- Promote a customer-centric culture within the engineering team.
7. Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on team performance, repair metrics, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with senior management to set performance targets and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the appliance repair industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of domestic appliances.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- Health and Safety certification is a plus.
